KD Ryzer Pix (thumbnails below) ('82 - '85, '88)- We had a lot of fun in this Pop/Rock band. We did our own music as well as cover tunes. We stayed busy, worked hard, played hard & nobody got hurt. In 1983 (I think), we won the "Salem Spirit" regional Battle of the Bands, where we received a trophy and prize money (I forget how much). We did a lot of recording for the 3 years I was in the band, with some help from Michael Panepento (I hope I spell your name right Mike) and Tony Wachter, a couple of proactive positive guys who have been good friends to me for a long time. I'm sure that all of us will remain life long friends, although I am pretty bad about staying in touch (My apologies!!).
Below are some songs that KDR recorded between 1982 & '85...Done as DEMOs - none of which we spent a lot of time on getting parts tight, vocals in-tune, and etc. Also, these cuts were taken off of old cassette tapes, because who knows (or cares) where the masters are, so beware of quality.... The song "Gotta Have Love" was the runner up (2nd place) to the winner of a "battle of the bands/song" type of thing (I forget what it was called) promoted by WAPI "i95" in 1983(?).... this song DID make the album that was released by i95 of the winner and finalist. - We were a band of varied musical taste and we were known to play and write songs in all genres. Some silly, some weird, but we had a lot of fun doing it - Bare in mind this was better than 20 years ago... I cringe when I listen to these songs now...... but its all in fun. Great memories!!! |
The pictures below are in no particular order and some of them are very poor quality as they are stills from a live video we did. I didn't include any descriptions to the pix...It would've taken me forever :^)
